Vinyasa Flow:
Vinyasa flow is a dynamic class which incorporates Asana (physical postures) and Pranayama (breath). We use the rhythm of our breath to move from pose to pose, creating fluid, smooth movements known as "flow".
Vinyasa builds internal heat in the body as we move from a slow warm up, through Sun Salutations and our flow sequence. We then slow our breath and movement cooling down and finding meditation through Savasana, our final resting pose.
Fluid Flow:
Our fluid flow class is a slower paced practice where we allow more time to align in each Asana (physical posture). We hold poses for longer, building strength, yet still enjoying the sense of "flowing" through the movement.
Like Vinyasa, Fluid Flow also builds strong bones and muscles, helping to maintain a high metabolism, healthy posture and active boy.
Restore:
Our Restore class is a slow, meditative practice encompassing breath, meditation and Yin Yoga.
Yin Yoga involves holding postures for between 3-5 minutes to affect the deeper tissues of the body. As we sit in these postures, we discuss specific meridians that are being stimulated (relating to Traditional Chinese Medicine), we focus on breath and bring awareness to the sensations in the physical body and patterns of the mind.
This practice is predominantly floor based and deeply nourishing for both mind and body.
